The Business Side of Things

Check In:  Check in is after 3:00 p.m. at the Ephraim Village Cottage office located at the main house on back of the property: 3082 Larson Lane, Ephraim, WI unless other arrangements are made in advance.

Check-Out: Check out time is no later than 10:00 a.m.  Our cleaning crew comes in behind you to ensure the cottage is ready for our next guests.  Thank you for being a part of our success.

Reservations:

  • Reservations made via phone or email are held for 10 days or until deposit is received (whichever is less). Remaining balance due upon check-in.
  • Shorter stays of one night may be available and must be paid in full at the time of reservation.  To inquire about single night stays, please contact us at 920-559-2565 (text/call)

Deposits:

  • All reservations required a 50% deposit.  Deposit is due within 2 weeks of reservation.
  • Pet deposit: $25/day/pet ($100 maximum) Pets require prior approval. Guest responsible for any/all pet damage.  Pet damages will be assessed at check out and we will immediately notify guest. Guest will receive an invoice for damages.

Confirmations: Upon receipt of deposit, a reservation confirmation will arrive via email (preferred) or via USPS mail.  Reservations are not effective or guaranteed until deposit is received.

Cancellation/Refund:Cancellations accepted up to 45 days prior to the first date of a confirmed reservation. If cancellation occurs within the 45 days prior to stay, we keep the deposit unless we are able to rent the cottage for the cancelled dates.

Returned Check Fee: 

$35 charged for all returned checks.

Daily Housekeeping Services:  Housekeeping does not clean, make beds, or take out trash on a daily basis while guests are staying with us.

Cleaning Fee/Damage: Guest is financially responsible for any/all damage to the cottage during his/her stay.

Pets:  Guests are welcome to bring a dog (maximum 2) but dog(s) must be disclosed at the time of reservation.  A nightly pet fee is added to accommodation fees.  Please do not bring cats, ferrets, peacocks, snakes, or any manner of “pet” other than dogs.

Pet Clean-Up: We love dogs as much as you do, especially well behaved dogs with responsible dog owners. Please clean up any piles your dog leaves behind by securing it in a plastic bag, tied up, and tossed into the dumpster located in the middle of the property.  Please do NOT put dog poo bags in the cottage trash can.  It is difficult for our cleaning crew to remove the odor from the cottage in preparation for the next guest.  Thank you for being a part of the solution.

Fireplaces/Wood stoves: Please Be Responsible when making fires. Ensure the fireplace screen is closed while active fire is in fireplace.  Do not leave cottage while a fire is burning or while embers are burning. Do not allow children to play with matches.

Trash/Recycling:  We have two trash dumpsters (brown) and one recycling dumpster (green) located in the middle of the property, up against a white shed located on Birch Road.  Please remove trash from your cottage throughout your stay and upon departure from the unit.  Recycling isn’t required, but it is the responsible thing to do.  Recycling includes: cardboard/soda/beer boxes, glass bottles, plastic bottles, aluminum cans.  Please do not toss items containing food (to go containers, pizza boxes, half cans/bottles of soda/beer) into recycling bin.  Please rinse out containers.

Lost and Found:  If you’ve lost an item while staying with us, please come to the office at the main house to see if your lost item was turned in by another guest or found by our cleaning crew.  If you return home and find that you’ve lost or forgotten an item, please contact Ephraim Village Cottages to see if our cleaning crew found your item in the cottage after check-out.  Guest is responsible for any costs associated with returning item via US mail.
